Student Support Services - Campus Safety and Security Department

Woodway Hall 214 (WWY 214)

Campus Security ensures safety on campus by working with the Lynnwood Police and Fire Departments and other emergency service agencies to enforce safety and security measures.

SSEP staff responds to campus emergencies, provides safety escort services for students and staff, patrols buildings and parking areas, provides battery assists for disabled vehicles, and sponsors safety and crime prevention training. Campus crime statistics are available online or by contacting the SSEP Office during business hours.

For campus parking regulations and other security information, please visit Safety, Security & Emergency Preparedness (SSEP) or email us at security24.7@edmonds.edu., or call our office at 425.640.1501.

Lost and Found

Campus Safety, Security & Emergency Preparedness (WWY 214) will accept high-value items such as wallets, purses, cell phones, tablets, laptops, credit cards, keys, and driver’s licenses/passports. SSEP will attempt to notify the apparent owner. If the owner is not found within 30 days, then the wallet/purse will be handed over to Lynnwood Police.

The Center for Student Engagement & Leadership (Brier 252) will accept all other lost items. Data devices and keys will be logged in, and an attempt will be made to notify the apparent owner. All other items will be stored in a central location in the main office. Found items are stored for 30 days. At the end of the 30-day retention period, items are donated to appropriate charities.

Found flash drives should be retained in the area found (e.g., the Learning Commons, ALD hall) for two (2) weeks. After two (2) weeks, the unclaimed flash drives will be sent to the Academic Computing Services department. The unclaimed flash drives will be formatted and given to the hardware program.

Found EdPasses are to be delivered to the EdPass Office in Lynnwood 214.
