Common Course Numbering Information and Course List

Many of Edmonds Community College’s courses were given new numbers and/or titles as part of statewide Common Course Numbering at Washington community and technical colleges.

We know students may attend more than one community college in order to take the classes they want when they want them and complete their educational goals. Giving courses the same number and title at community colleges across the state streamlines the system and makes it easier for students to carry credits between colleges.

Common courses are indicated by the “&” symbol.

The following list identifies the courses that have new numbers/titles and the year the change happened. Most of the course title changes occurred in summer 2009 so this information primarily affects classes taken at Edmonds CC before then, but there have been more recent changes as well.

When transferring credit between colleges, it is very important to know the current course number/title to ensure you take the correct classes.

Use this list to make sure you do not unnecessarily repeat a class!
