HORT 170 - Fall Garden Practices
3.0 Credits Introduces students to basic landscape installation and maintenance practices for fall, balling and burlapping, lawn and bed maintenance; proper planting techniques. Safe and efficient operation of equipment is stressed. S/U grade option.
Course Objectives Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate safe practices in selection, lifting, transport, handling and cleanup of tools. [ACT]
- Demonstrate and describe proper tree and shrub installation. [REASON]
- Describe Fall Weed Control methods and techniques. [COMMUNICATE]
