HORT 213 - Fall Flowering Herbaceous Plants
2.5 Credits Fall flowering annuals, bulbs and perennials for Northwest gardens; learn to identify, appreciate and utilize this season’s noteworthy stars as you visit them in a variety of settings. S/U grade option. Prerequisite: HORT 102 . Field trips are an integral part of this class. Be prepared to arrive and depart from the sites on your own.
Course Objectives Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Recognize fall flowering annuals, bulbs and perennials by scientific (Latin), common name, and family affiliation. [REASON]
- List the cultural requirements and landscape uses of the above plants. [COMMUNICATE]
