HORT 262 - Landscape Design I
6.0 Credits Residential landscape design based on a seven step process. This class is for the professional with emphasis on usable outdoor spaces. Prerequisite: Placement in BRDGE 093 or higher, HORT 120 and 224 or instructor permission.
Course Objectives Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Engage in imaginative and critical inquiry to explore concepts and perspectives in order to develop landscape designs that are site and client specific. [REASON]
- Locate, acquire, evaluate, and apply information in order to prepare landscape basemaps, site surveys and site analysis. [REASON]
- Use appropriate tools, techniques and technology to communicate effectively with clients and professionals in the landscape industry. [COMMUNICATE]
