HORT 267 - Landscaping for Wildlife
3.0 Credits
How to design, install, and maintain landscapes that benefit both people and wildlife. Information on Puget Sound wildlife, wildlife plants, and wildlife enhancement features will be covered. S/U grade option.
Course Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Identify the necessary habitat components for a variety of Northwest wildlife species. [REASON]
- Specify a selection of plants to fulfill the habitat needs for a variety of Northwest wildlife species. [REASON]
- Describe the benefits of protecting and promoting Wildlife habitats within a landscaped setting. [COMMUNICATE]
