HSC 051 - Real World Math I
Maximum of 5.0 possible Credits Introduction to basic algebra, basic geometry, basic data analysis, and probability. For high school completion students to fulfill high school diploma math requirements. Prerequisite: MATH 040 or advisor placement.
Course Objectives Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Write equations to solve problems. [COMMUNICATE]
- Represent verbal quantitative situations algebraically. [COMMUNICATE]
- Evaluate expressions for given replacement values of the variables. [REASON]
- Solve multistep equations. [REASON]
- Solve multistep inequalities. [REASON]
