MGMT 271 - Project Management II: Scheduling/Controlling Projects
5.0 Credits Course focuses on tools to plan, monitor and control project schedules, manage resources, budgets and specifications. Students develop projects using PM tools including WBS, Gantt charts and Network Diagrams. Project risk will also be addressed. Prerequisite: MGMT 270 recommended.
Course Objectives Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Create a plan for a project using a WBS and an Action Plan format. [REASON]
- Design a CPM Network Diagram for the project, and be able to update the schedule in response to changes. [REASON]
- Demonstrate methods of monitoring a project. [REASON]
- Control a project through problem identification, problem solving and communication with teams. [REASON]
- Discuss methods and formulas for estimating and budgeting. [REASON]
