PE 101 - Sports and Fitness Lab: Beginning
2.0 Credits Skills and conditioning program for the individual or group. Beginning fitness program with weight training and cardiovascular conditioning. Personalized to fit everyone’s motivation. S/U grade option. Independent hours may be arranged with instructor.
Course Objectives Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Construct daily fitness goals including cardiovascular and weight training components. [EXPLORE]
- Record daily accomplishments of performance strategies in all programs and individual improvements. [COMMUNICATE]
- Demonstrate understanding of beginning fitness strategies. [ACT]
- Demonstrate and implement a personal fitness program. [ACT]
- Evaluate personal well-being relative to weight, body fat percentage, basal metabolic rate and means to achieve desired fitness balance. [REASON]
