PE 111 - Jogging/Cardio Fitness



2.0 Credits
Improvement of cardio respiratory efficiency, flexibility, muscle tone and weight control through walking and jogging. Individualized to meet everyone’s need and ability with hours arranged independently. S/U grade option. Note: Individualized hours may be arranged with the instructor.

Course Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate and describe progress in basic fitness goals identified in personal fitness portfolio. [ACT]
  2. Demonstrate and explain the basics of the five components of health-related fitness. [COMMUNICATE]
  3. Describe and explain basic health indicators and how exercise affects each. [REASON]
