MFG 111 - Aerospace Assembly Mechanic II



3.5 Credits
This course builds on MFG 110. Develop manual precision skills essential to aircraft production. Continued emphasis on basic principles of accuracy and safety. Prerequisite: MFG 110.

Course-level Learning Objectives (CLOs)
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Describe and demonstrate precision and accuracy while using a variety of airplane mechanic tools. [COMMUNICATE]
  2. Identify various tools currently accepted and used in the commercial aerospace manufacturing industry and discuss best practices using these tools within commercial standard tolerances. [REASON]
  3. Distinguish and analyze the difference between procedure requirements and optional procedures as required by an employer and the FAA while working on aircraft. [REASON]
  4. Demonstrate the ability to engage in teamwork by completing projects which require more than one person to complete the project correctly. [COMMUNICATE]
