CLART 141 - Food Server I

Provides the basic knowledge of restaurant service in a full service dining atmosphere. Server sequence, tray service, bussing, side work are covered. Prerequisite
CLART 100. Corequisite


Course-level Learning Objectives (CLOs)
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. List the customer service techniques for the food service industry.
  2. Demonstrate basic sanitation and safety in the restaurant industry.
  3. Apply principles of mise en place.
  4. Perform bussing techniques using appropriate trays.
  5. Demonstrate the ability to work as a member of a team.
