Principles of interpersonal online communication. Previous experience with online courses recommended.
Prerequisite Placement in ENGL& 101.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Examine and articulate the differences between face-to-face and computer-mediated interpersonal interactions using discipline-specific knowledge, such as the Communication Process Model elements.
  2. Demonstrate an understanding of the influence of computer-mediation on communication interactions.
  3. Describe the influence of cultural differences (ethnicity and gender, for example) in online interpersonal communication interactions.
