EAP 121 - Composition for College
5.0 Credits For nonnative English speakers planning to take college English courses or classes requiring extensive writing: the focus is on essay form and organization, advanced grammar and collaborative learning. Prerequisite Placement by permit or test results. Course-level Learning Objectives (CLOs) Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Utilize targeted steps to develop a writing process and produce basic essays.
- Employ American rhetorical strategies when writing college-level essays.
- Practice editing strategies to reduce ESL sentence-level errors.
- Analyze reader input for revision purposes.
- Compare the diversity of cultures.
