ESL 075 - English as a Second Language - Language Lab
Maximum of 2.5 possible Credits A multi-level support lab that facilitates English language acquisition and computer literacy. The materials and activities reinforce reading, writing, listening and speaking skills for level 5 and 6 students. Day classes are 2 credits and evening classes are 1 credit. S/U grade only. Registration permitted first seven weeks (six in summer) as space is available. Prerequisite Placement by instructor or advisor. Course-level Learning Objectives (CLOs) Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Identify areas of strength and weakness in their English abilities, and identify methods of improving areas of weakness.
- Demonstrate progress in one or more English skill areas.
- Use online course software to effectively communicate with peers and the instructor.
- Use computer software and the Internet to improve English language skills and access community resources.
