Principles of dynamics, including Newton’s Laws. Analysis of the equations of motion of particles and rigid bodies, kinematics, dynamics, impulse, momentum, work, and energy.
Prerequisite ENGR& 214 and MATH& 152 with a minimum grade of 2.0 or higher.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

Apply Newton’s Laws of Motion to particles, systems of particles and rigid bodies.
Develop the kinematics of displacement, velocity, and acceleration for systems of particles and rigid bodies.
Apply the principle of work and energy and the principle of impulse and momentum to mechanical systems.
