                  BUS& 101 - Introduction to Business
  5.0 Credits  An introduction to business history, concepts, principles, and operations. Examines the relationship among business, government, and society. Covers concepts from a variety of disciplines, including economics, marketing, accounting, finance, management, and global business. Prerequisite Placement in ENGL 099. Course-level Learning Objectives (CLOs)  Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
 
 - Examine and discuss how businesses operate within the political, cultural, social, technological, economic, natural, and legal environments.
 
 - Define and analyze contemporary business terms and concepts.
 
 - Demonstrate effective critical thinking by analyzing current business issues and recommending effective responses.
 
 - Assess current events to identify and analyze business practices and theories in action.
 
 - Demonstrate a critical understanding of the relationship between the past and the present with regard to business activities.
