HLTH 205 - Emergency Response/Recertification

Following the guidelines recommended by the American Heart Association; first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and AED for the basic first responder. CPR card earned only if skills assessment passed. S/U grade option.
Prerequisite Instructor permission required.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

Demonstrate airway management, breathing restoration, and circulation restoration.
Evaluate victims for injuries in test scenarios.
Identify the appropriate care given to selected injury related problems.
Complete all AHA requirements for recertificaiton.
