Provides an introduction to writing in English as a second language. Students will achieve a very basic level of writing proficiency, using simple verb tenses and vocabulary; spelling emphasized./p>
Prerequisite Intensive ESL Placement Exam.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate understanding of sound-letter correspondence.
- Write very basic sentences and passages.
- Use very basic punctuation, capitalization and coordination correctly.
