MFG 110 - Aerospace Assembly Mechanic I
3.5 Credits Introduction to power island equipment, basic drilling and precision measuring with an emphasis on basic principles of safety, quality and inspection. Prerequisite MFG 105, MFG 120, MFG 159 all with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Corequisite MFG 111, MFG 112, MFG 113, and MFG 127.
Course-level Learning Objectives (CLOs) Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:- Demonstrate proper use of power tools and describe safety procedures and practices in using common assembly tools.
- Identify various tools currently accepted and used in the commercial aerospace manufacturing industry and discuss the proper applications and techniques when using these tools.
- Distinguish and analyze the difference between procedure requirements and optional procedures as required by the FAA.
- Describe and demonstrate successful team skills and interaction.
