CMST 105 - Performance Studies

Examines cultural and social influences in contemporary literature. Students will integrate oral performance, literary analysis, and communication theory (was SPCH 105). Prerequisite: Placement in ENGL 100.

Course Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

Examine, articulate, and apply the influences of social and cultural elements to contemporary literature. [EXPLORE]
Demonstrate an understanding of literary analysis theory as applied to contemporary literature through writing and performance. [REASON]
