ENGR& 215 - Dynamics 5.0 Credits Principles of dynamics, including Newton’s Laws. Analysis of the equations of motion of particles and rigid bodies, kinematics, dynamics, impulse, momentum, work and energy (was ENGR 230). Prerequisite: ENGR& 214 (was ENGR 210) and MATH& 152 (was MATH 152) each with a grade of 2.0 or higher.
Course Objectives Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to:
- Apply Newton’s Laws of Motion to particles, systems of particles and rigid bodies. [REASON]
- Develop the kinematics of displacement, velocity, and acceleration for systems of particles and rigid bodies.[REASON]
- Apply the principle of work and energy and the principle of impulse and momentum to mechanical systems. [REASON]
