Program Description Students in the Graphic Design Certificate of Completion program will develop the skills required to conceptualize and produce, two-dimensional projects. Through lectures and hands-on-learning, students will develop creative knowledge and technical skills from the use of the latest Apple computers and design software. Offered in the late afternoon format, this program provides opportunities for students to work while going to college.
Credit/Grade Requirements The certificate is awarded upon completion of the courses listed below, a total of 18 credits. All required credits must be earned at Edmonds Community College. Students are required to maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0 in all college-level courses as well as a minimum grade point average of 2.5 within the program requirements.
COCs are not eligible for financial aid; however, some COCs may be eligible for veteran’s benefits. If interested in this COC, please inquire at your instructional department or academic advising.
Students Are Advised To
- Plan their schedule several quarters in advance in order to accommodate courses that are offered only once or twice a year,
- Review the college catalog for required course prerequisites and include these in schedule planning, and
- Communicate with a faculty adviser.
Graduation Application A completed Graduation Application form must be submitted to Enrollment Services by the 10th day of the quarter in which the student expects to graduate. Forms are available online or at Enrollment Services located in Lynnwood Hall. Note applications for summer quarter are due by the 8th day of the quarter.
