Return to {$returnto_text} Return to: Degrees and Certificates by Type

Program Description The Mechatronics and Automation Technology Associate of Technical Arts (ATA) Degree program trains students to enter the job market as electromechanical technicians, electronics technicians, field service technicians, automation technicians and manufacturing technicians. The training is generic and is applicable to many fields such as aerospace, electronics manufacturing, medical equipment, and telecommunications. This program trains students in robotics programming, maintenance, and operation; electronic circuit analysis; functional testing; and troubleshooting of complex linear, digital and microprocessor/microcontroller based systems. This training makes extensive use of practical, hands on learning. Whenever possible, real world applications are modeled so graduates are prepared for the work they will find. This degree requires successful completion of a minimum of 90 credits as outlined.

Advising Note This program requirement sheet is not a substitute for meeting with an academic advisor. Meeting the requirements to graduate with an Edmonds College certificate or degree is ultimately the responsibility of the student.
