The Edmonds Career Access Program (EdCAP) is a partnership between Edmonds Community College and the Edmonds School District. EdCAP provides young adults, ages 16-21, with an opportunity to earn a high school diploma in a college environment. Students have the option to explore classes that will give them a jump-start toward a professional technical program. Career planning, academic development, and EdCAP success classes are key components of the program. Tuition and books are provided at no cost to the student. Students earn a diploma from the Edmonds School District.

Entry Requirements: Students age 16-21 who do not have a high school diploma, need to earn enough diploma credits to attend the college for at least two quarters, and meet entry-level course placement requirements are eligible. Students who do not meet these minimum requirements are referred to academic skill building classes.

When to apply?
Students may begin EdCAP during the fall, winter, or spring quarters. Students should plan to apply one quarter in advance.

Students are advised to:

  • Meet regularly with their case manager,
  • Attend all classes and complete all coursework, and
  • Utilize campus resources early and often.
