NURS 127 - Nursing Foundations Practicum II
2.0 Credits Second in a two-course series teaching nursing care of clients in skilled nursing and outpatient settings. Emphasis on continued development of communication, assessment skills, intermediate procedures, use of nursing process to plan/deliver care. Prerequisite: NURS 123, NURS 124, NURS 125. Co-requisite: NURS 126 and NURS 128. Permit code required.
Course-level Learning Objectives (CLOs) Upon successful completion of this course, student will be able to:
- Demonstrate understanding of the legal scope of practice of members of the healthcare team and the concept of appropriate delegation. [REASON]
- Use the nursing process at an intermediate level to plan, implement, and document nursing care. [ACT]
- Perform and document health assessment using effective techniques for collecting and documenting data. [ACT]
