ECED& 120 - Practicum-Nurturing Relationships
2.0 Credits Students will apply theories of best practice in an early learning setting. Focus will be on developing supportive relationships while keeping children healthy and safe.
Course-level Learning Objectives (CLOs) Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to:
- Document a beginning understanding of relationships and practices that support young children’s development in an early learning program through use of observations. [REASON]
- Document and describe initial skills in interactions with young children as a basis for relationship-based learning. [ACT]
- Demonstrate appropriate practices that ensure and maintain the health, safety, and nutrition of children. [ACT]
- Establish supportive relationships with children; guide children as individuals and as part of a group. [COMMUNICATE]
- Demonstrate support of children and families in a professional manner. [ACT]
