BSTEC 260 - Supervision and Management Skills:CD
5.0 Credits Introduction to office and employee management. Topics include supervision and communication skills that are necessary to work in a diverse office environment. Course-level Learning Objectives (CLOs) Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Identify and analyze characteristics of leadership that should be displayed by a supervisor.
- Define problems and implement the problem-solving process for office manager.
- Identify, practice, and assess skills which facilitate effective interaction and mutual understanding among three or more people for the purpose of working on a task, participating in a class discussion, or making a group presentation.
- Define administrative managers’ responsibilities in preparing their staff and their office to participate in a globally diverse work environment.
- Identify and analyze office and employee management problems and options, select and implement appropriate solutions, and evaluate outcomes.
- Demonstrate knowledge, understanding, and appreciation of culture and its influence on individuals and groups in the workplace.
- Recognize, analyze, and evaluate multicultural perspectives and issues related to office supervision.
