HORT 251 - Restoration Horticulture
5.0 Credits Horticultural principles associated with ecological restoration with applied projects in re-vegetation and habitat restoration. Prerequisite HORT 250 or instructor permission. Course-level Learning Objectives (CLOs) Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Describe, compare, and contrast a full array of standard and horticultural techniques used in the planning and process of ecological restoration.
- Identify a project site(s), plan, and implement a low impact development and/or classic restoration project.
- Analyze and evaluate the status of current and completed restoration projects.
- Compare horticultural techniques used in restoration to traditional horticultural practices.
