For upper-intermediate ESL students. Students improve speaking and listening skills with an emphasis on skills for college success: listening and note taking, small group discussion, oral presentation. Provides an introduction to the American community college system.
Prerequisite Pass INTEN 032 or Intensive ESL Placement Exam.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

Demonstrate improvement of oral communication skills using English with native speakers, in a volunteer job.
Demonstrate cultural understanding represented in the volunteer site.
Communicate with native speakers about their respective countries and cultures.
Complete volunteer responsibilities.
Present a short speech describing the service experience.
