MUSC 146 - Sno-King Chorale

Sno-King Chorale is a large community choir in which students may enroll for credit. Weekly rehearsals can demand up to four hours of your time, plus performance time. A variety of chorale literature is performed.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

Perform the fundamentals of chorale singing including techniques in breathing, phrasing, diction and phonation.
Demonstrate correct pronunciation of foreign languages while singing.
Demonstrate an understanding of chorale literature in cultural and historical contexts.
Perform ensemble singing techniques including dynamics, color tone, and the use of vibrato.
Demonstrate proficiency in stage presence and public performance decorum.
