2.0 Credits In an early learning setting, engage in establishing nurturing, supportive relationships with all children and professional peers.Focus on children’s health andsafety, promoting growth anddevelopment, and creating a culturally responsive environment. Permit code required. S/U grade option. Course-level Learning Objectives (CLOs) Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Document a beginning understanding of relationships and practices that support young children’s development in an early learning program through use of observations.
- Describe the practice of professionalism in working with children, families, and peers.
- Recognize cultural responsiveness when observing professionals and programs.
- Identify appropriate practices that ensure and maintain the heath, safety, and nutrition of children.
- Establish supportive relationships with children; guide children as individuals and as part of a group.
