AMMET 454 - Capstone I
5.00 Credits This course is the first of a two-part capstone practicum series. Students will work in teams to implement their acquired knowledge through the creation of defined projects in order to master their materials and manufacturing skills. Prerequisite Prerequisite: Admittance into the AMMET Program. Completion of AMMET 400, AMMET 426, and AMMET 440. Course-level Learning Objectives (CLOs) Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:- Work together effectively in teams.
- Clearly define a problem and utilize appropriate research methods to identify viable solutions.
- Develop a solution to a manufacturing and/or materials problem using the skills developed in the program.
- Utilize project management techniques to design and build a project.
- Develop a written and oral presentation that evaluates the effectiveness of the project.
