Program Description
Adults ages 18 and older, who have passed their expected high school graduation date and who do not have a high school diploma, can take classes and demonstrate competency to complete Washington state high school diploma requirements and earn an Edmonds College high school diploma. Students who qualify by placement may also take college-level classes that meet high school diploma requirements for a reduced cost. Tuition is $25 per quarter.
Entry Requirements
Students who are at least 18 years of age and do not have a high school diploma are eligible for the HS+ program. Participation in a program orientation is required. Incoming students will complete assessments to help determine placement.
When to apply?
Students may begin fall, winter, spring, or summer quarter. Students should meet with a School of Academic Foundations (SAF) advisor in advance of the quarter they wish to begin. Students are encouraged to bring their high school transcript(s), college transcripts (if applicable), and demonstrations of competency, such as records of previous training, employment, or volunteer work, to the advising meeting. The advisor will determine which credits are needed and help students select courses that match life and work schedules. Classes are offered at a variety of times and in different modalities (online and in-person).
