General Equivalency Degree (GED®) Preparation

Program Description
Students ages 16 and older, who do not have a secondary education credential, can take classes in a college environment and prepare to earn a GED® certificate. Spanish GED® preparation classes are also available. Tuition is $25 per quarter.
Entry Requirements
Students who are at least 16 years of age and do not have a secondary education credential are eligible for the GED® program. Participation in a program orientation is required. Incoming students will complete assessments to help determine placement.
When to apply?
Students may begin fall, winter, spring, or summer quarter. Students should meet with a School of Academic Foundations (SAF) advisor in advance of the quarter they wish to begin. Students are encouraged to bring their high school transcript(s) and college transcripts (if applicable) to the advising meeting. The advisor will determine which credits are needed and help students select courses that match life and work schedules. Classes are offered at a variety of times and in different modalities (online and in-person).

- Meet regularly with an advisor;
- Use campus resources; and
- Attend all classes
