Academic Pathways: This degree/certificate is designed to provide professional and technical training to prepare students for specific jobs or to improve existing skills, and is not designed to transfer to other programs.
Career pathways: The Legal Office Specialist ATA Degree program of legal and technology courses is for the person seeking employment in a law office or related organization. The training will emphasize proficiency of computer applications and formats applicable to the legal office, familiarity with legal office theory and procedure. Job titles may include legal secretary, court clerk, and administrative assistant.

Getting Started - Placement Notes
Milestone 1: NSA (New Student Advising) *Meet with your advisor to select a program of study, obtain math and English placement, plan pre-college coursework, discuss transfer credits, and obtain a starting plan. - Placement for Math is not required to begin this program. Completion of BUS 130 is recommended before starting certain classes.
- Placement into ENGLP 093 or AENGL 093 is required before beginning this program. ENGL& 101 completion or placement into ENGL& 102 is required before starting certain classes.
Term 1 - Fall (13 credits)
Term 2 - Winter (15 credits)
Milestone 2: Term 2 Check-In *Meet with your advisor to make sure you are making steady progress and have successfully taken or planned to take entry level classes for your program. Create a full academic plan with your advisor for your remaining requirements. Term 3 - Spring (15 credits)
Term S - Summer (12 credits)
*This course can be taken in a summer quarter any time during the degree program or added to any quarter during the academic year (as available). Term 4 - Fall (15 credits)
Milestone 3: Degree Progress Check-in *Meet with your advisor for a progress check and to finalize remaining courses for your program. Begin discussing and planning for your post-graduation goals. Term 5 - Winter (13 credits)
