5.0 Credits A preparation for the CHEM& 161 sequence for students who have not had high school chemistry. Emphasis on quantitative reasoning and problem solving techniques. Prerequisite (MATH 087 with a minimum grade of 2.0 or placement in minimum of MATH 097) and placement in ENGL& 101. Corequisite

- Use the basic qualitative and quantitative language of chemistry.
- Classify and visualize matter.
