Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

Define, articulate and analyze the carbon cycle and its relationship to energy management.
Define and describe the basics of systems thinking in relationship to sustainability.
Define, describe, and evaluate assessment tools measuring sustainability with particular emphasis on carbon footprints (aka greenhouse gas inventories).
Apply tools and methods learned to conduct a personal carbon footprint report.
Describe pluralism and why it is important to advancing sustainability.
Identify and describe the basic concepts underlying sustainability.
