FLED 022 - Parenting Education/Parents and Two Year Olds
Maximum of 3.0 possible Credits Parents attend the laboratory class one day a week with their child and evening parent meetings. Class includes parent discussion, observation, and activities with the children. Discussion topics will be chosen in the areas of child development and family life. Registration permitted first seven weeks as space is available. Prerequisite Corequisite
Course-level Learning Objectives (CLOs) Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Describe positive rapport modeled with 2-3-year-old children children in a lab setting.
- Supervise 2-3-year-old children.
- Discuss developmentally appropriate behaviors for 2-3-year-old children.
- Examine appropriate expectations for 2-3-year-old children.
- Examine different parenting styles.
- Recognize individual differences of children and families.
