HLTH 100 - Contemporary Health Issues

Course-level Learning Objectives (CLOs) Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Explore various components of general health such as nutrition, physical fitness, mental health, alcohol and drug abuse, infectious diseases and prevention.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve general health.
- Analyze, describe and discuss existing health challenges facing current society such as cardiovascular disease, obesity, mental health, death and dying, drug, tobacco and alcohol abuse, stress management, sexual and reproduction issues.
- Research aspects of Contemporary Health with special focus on current trends and issues.
