HLTH 150 - Nutrition and Life Fitness
3.0 Credits Covers various aspects of life fitness, basic anatomy, physiology of exercise and nutrition. Instruction in how to establish a personal fitness program for life. Prerequisite Corequisite
Course-level Learning Objectives (CLOs) Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of the human muscular system.
- Analyze how exercise influences the mind and body.
- Identify nutritional requirements.
- Apply knowledge of nutrition to develop a nutritional exercise.
- Prepare a weight and cardiovascular training program.
- Create and analyze a food journal.
- Communicate effectively in exploration of nutrition and fitness topics.
