HORT 191 - Internship



Maximum of 5.0 possible Credits
Practical work experience at horticultural institutions, businesses, farms, and food system enterprises that applies and builds upon knowledge and skills derived from program coursework. Student will establish learning objectives and outcomes with the internship provider. S/U grade option. Permit code required. Registration permitted first seven weeks as space is available. Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Select a horticulture internship in landscape horticulture, restoration horticulture, or sustainable agriculture.
  2. Identify and fulfill internship outcomes mutually agreed upon by the intern and internship provider.
  3. Document knowledge and skills acquired and practiced during the internship.
