MGMT 235 - Effective Teams

Class will give you tools to develop a team, to manage a team and to be an effective team member. You will also have an opportunity to identify and learn about removing barriers to effective teams. S/U grade option. Prerequisite

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Identify the features of an effective team.
- Identify behaviors and actions that enhance and derail team efforts.
- Evaluate personal skills, beliefs and behaviors regarding team involvement and develop a work plan for improving personal and team success.
- Analyze human differences and similarities and practice techniques that value those differences while keeping the team on track.
- Guide and participate in a team consensus process for the purpose of coordinated action.
