Intensive survey of electronics for students in computer or industrial technologies. Covers electrical concepts, electronic components, schematics and test equipment. Extensive hands on training. Prerequisite

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate knowledge of electrical quantities.
  2. Operate basic electronic test equipment.
  3. Use engineering notation and metric notation in calculations and descriptions of electrical and computer quantities.
  4. Identify most components on a circuit board.
  5. Research a component, concept, or problem on the Internet.
  6. Troubleshoot an open in a simple circuit or device.
  7. Build a circuit from a schematic diagram.
  8. Analyze and test a circuit for proper operation.
