STEM 101 - Exploring Careers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics)

Introduction to STEM careers and college majors, with an emphasis on self-assessment and educational planning. Students will conduct problem-solving through project-based activities and interdisciplinary design. Prerequisite
Placement in ENGL 099. Corequisite

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Read, interpret and evaluate STEM information, design and complete STEM projects, and communicate STEM information visually, orally, and in writing, both individually and in teams.
  2. Compare and describe self-assessment with STEM major and career research to determine compatible, realistic career paths and academic plans.
