ETEC 114 - Introduction to Computer Aided Design
5.0 Credits Methods of depicting three dimensional (3D) objects and communicating design information. Emphasis is on using parametric solid modeling software as a design tool and using freehand sketching to develop visualization skills. Course-level Learning Objectives (CLOs) Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate the ability to use pencil and paper for visualization and sketching of solid models.
- Demonstrate computer added design (CAD) parametric solid modeling.
- Complete a project that demonstrates both sketching and CAD design.
