PE 150 - Soccer Co-ed Beginning
2.0 Credits Introduction to soccer fundamentals including ball control, field positioning and finishing. Focus on high intensity strengthening and cardio exercise specific to soccer. Students provide their own regulation equipment. Classes are on a turf field.
Course-level Learning Objectives (CLOs) Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Communicate verbally and nonverbally with attacking strategies associated with soccer. [ACT]
- Analyze and execute effective defensive/attacking styles associated with soccer. [REASON]
- Demonstrate stronger aerobic and anaerobic fitness conditioning level through pre and post fitness testing. [ACT]
- Demonstrate understanding and appreciation for the principles, rules, techniques and strategies associated with soccer through participation and observation of the game. [REASON]
- Demonstrate development in specific aspects of the game, including ball control, field positioning, fitness and finishing. [ACT]
