MFG 102 - Electrical Assembly Mechanical Skills II
5.0 Credits This course is a continuation of MFG 101, the installation and termination of wires/wire bundles and cables in aircraft. Topics include proper handling of fiber optic cables, using precision measuring tools, drilling and installing fasteners, and inspection of work per specifications. Prerequisite: MFG 101.
Course-level Learning Objectives (CLOs) Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate for completion and correctness per specifications on all projects. [REASON]
- Use knowledge of routing, clamping, tying, connecting and terminating wires, coax and/or wire bundles in the installation of aircraft electrical systems. [REASON]
- Properly handle fiber optic cables and related components. [REASON]
- Apply math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals, and fractions. [REASON]
- Demonstrate proper use of various types of precision measuring tools. [REASON]
- Drill, ream, hone, bore, lap and/or countersink straight and close tolerance holes and install fasteners. [REASON]
