MFG 112 - Aerospace Assembly Mechanic III
5.0 Credits This course builds on MFG 110 and MFG 111. Introduction to the assembly of wing structure, exterior skin panels and fuselage skin assembly. Prerequisite: MFG 111.
Course-level Learning Objectives (CLOs) Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Define and describe basic assembly procedures and techniques for wing and fuselage assembly. [COMMUNICATE]
- Identify various tools currently accepted and used in the commercial aerospace manufacturing industry and discuss best practices using these tools within commercial standard tolerances. [REASON]
- Distinguish and analyze the difference between procedure requirements and optional procedures as required by an employer and the FAA while working on aircraft. [REASON]
- Demonstrate the ability to engage in teamwork by completing projects which require more than one person to complete the project correctly. [COMMUNICATE]
- Navigate and interpret complex engineering drawings to successfully assemble various airplane components. [REASON]
