Program Description This certificate provides a practical foundation in urban agriculture through the study and hands-on design, planning, and operation of agriculture systems relevant to urban environments – including backyard, vertical, rooftop, and community gardens, micro-farms, and food hubs and markets. Students explore career options in a seminar and apply knowledge, skills, and techniques through internship, practicum, or research experience.  All 16.5 required credits for this certificate of completion must be earned at Edmonds Community College. This certificate may be combined with other Certificates of Completion to achieve the larger Urban Agriculture Enterprises Certificate or Urban Agriculture Systems Certificate.

Advising Note This program requirement sheet is not a substitute for meeting with an academic advisor. Meeting the requirements to graduate with an Edmonds CC certificate or degree is ultimately the responsibility of the student.
